Specific Defect Analysis
Some typical defects are:
Damp: This can be caused by a number of different issues such as defective damp proofing, cracks in walls/render, roof coverings and floors. Dampness can often be misdiagnosed and the cause is as a result of condensation forming due to poor ventilation and heating.
Rot & Woodworm: Often found in older buildings, treatment may not involve replacing the timbers.
Structural Movement/Cracking: This can result from a single cause or multiple causes. Such as weather, drainage, sub soil and localised vegetation.
